Stop attacking other aspirants, candidates, Peter Obi warns supporters

Peter Obi, former Anambra State Governor has warned his supporters to refrain from making personal attacks on other aspirants and candidates of the 2023 general election.

He gave the advice on Sunday in a series of tweets via his verified Twitter handle, saying it was wrong to engage in such an action.

According to the 60-year-old politician, it has been brought to his attention that some of his reporters were attacking other aspirants and candidates.

Obi, who is one of the political gladiators seeking to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023, thanked his supporters for standing with him

According to him, elections are democratic and do not need to breed enemies.

He said, “It has been brought to my attention, and I have also observed that some of my numerous supporters are making personal attacks on other aspirants/candidates.

Whilst thanking you for your support, which I sincerely value and appreciate, I humbly appeal that we all imbibe the spirit of sportsmanship and avoid name-calling or personal attacks on other aspirants and candidates
