Security Operatives on Thursday in Kogi State have neutralised a kidnap gang operating along Igalamela/Odolu Local Government Area and neighbouring states.
Chief press secretary to the Governor Yahaya Bello revealed in a statement that 2 of the gang members were killed in a gun duel with security agencies, while 2 were arrested and 1 escaped into the forest with severe gun wounds.
The Men of the underworld met their Waterloo after a victim (name withheld) who escaped their den reported the incident to security operatives
According to him, it took the combined efforts of the Area Commander, Kogi State Vigilante Services, community policing members and hunters who condoned the forest and upon sighting them, the criminals opened fire which led to a duel.
Mr Muhammed described the operation as yet another successful outing by the highly synergised and motivated security operatives of the state.
