Hon. Nse Ekpenyong representing Oron Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives is dead.
Nse dies at the age 58-year-old and was reportedly died on Saturday.
The Chairman of Mbo Local Government Area, Asuqwo Eyo confirmed the death of the lawmaker. Eyo disclosed that Ekpenyong who is from the area was not ill before his death.
The late lawmaker is to complete his second term as representative of Oron Federal Constituency in the house by May 2023.
Ekpenyong had once served as the deputy chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Akwa Ibom State and was also a former member of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly.
Femi Gbajabiamila The Speaker of the House of Representatives,is expected to declare Ekpenyong’s seat vacant following his death.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will conduct a fresh election to fill the seat.
